Anesthetic

She's waiting to inject
the anesthesia
deep into her heart
to numb all of her senses.
...anesthetic...

So the words on the lips
rarely speak words of heart,
but we keep on nodding,
we just keep on nodding.
And all the world's pain
can be wrapped in the dark,
but we keep on nodding,
we just keep on nodding.

We will watch
her as one

when her plans
come undone.

She's waiting to inject
the anesthesia
deep into her heart
to numb all of her senses.
...anesthetic...

Sometimes the secrets' open wide
presented for the world to see,
but we keep on walking,
we just keep on walking.
So the louder the cry
the less we hear the plea,
but we keep on walking,
we just keep on walking.

We will watch
her as one
when her plans
come undone.

She's waiting to inject
the anesthesia
deep into her heart
to numb all of her senses.
...anesthetic...

Stop sitting back and nodding.
Stop ignoring and talking.
Stop turning eyes and walking.
Stop twisting words and prodding.

Just inject the anesthetic,
just inject the anesthetic,
just inject the anesthetic,

and finish what you started.
